ARE YOUR COOKIES SAFE FOR EVEN THE MOST EXTREME ALLERGIES? I believe that I have taken every precaution that I know of to ensure the safeness of my product. However, the flaxmeal used in the cookies has been processed in a plant that also processes nuts. While our mission is to satisfy nearly everyone's sweet tooth, we know that it is impossible to produce something free of every allergen. Our products are 100% vegan, and they are gluten, dairy (casein), nut, soy and egg-free. However, it is ultimately the consumer's responsibility to check our labels and make informed, safe decisions about what to eat. Please check with your doctor to make sure that our treats are appropriate for you. WHAT KINDS OF FLOURS DO YOU USE? We use a blend of garbanzo bean, fava bean, sorghum and arrowroot flours. All are gluten free and all are produced in a certified gluten-free facility. WHY PALM OIL? While virtually all Americans have been trained to think that tropical oils are unhealthy due to their high saturated fat contents, recent research has debunked these paradigms. While it is true that hydrogenated tropical oils, which contain trans fat, are unhealthy, new research provides evidence to the contrary when palm oils remain in their natural forms. Here are some of the health benefits associated with unhydrogenated tropical oils such as palm oil:

CAN YOU FREEZE THE COOKIES? Yes. I have had success with freezing them anywhere from 6-8 weeks in an airtight container. Thaw to room temperature and enjoy or, pop in the microwave for 3-5 seconds for fresh from the oven taste. ARE YOUR BAKED GOODS KOSHER? I do use kosher certified ingredients, but our baked goods have not yet received an official rabbinical blessing. YOUR DAIRY-FREE, SOY-FREE CHOCOLATE CHIPS CONTAIN COCOA BUTTER. IS THIS A DAIRY PRODUCT? I had the same question when I first started researching my ingredients. However, cocoa butter is a vegetable oil derived from a cacao bean. It is used in the production of chocolate to keep chocolate solid at room temperature, but allow it to melt in your mouth. CAN YOU GIVE ME A LIST OF YOUR INGREDIENTS? Of course! I believe in full disclosure, especially since I have food allergies, too. Our cookies contain: our signature blend of organic, unhydrogenated palm fruit oil, organic, raw sugar, molasses, agar agar, flaxseed meal, vanilla, our signature flour blend (garbanzo, fava, sorghum, arrowroot and potato starch), leavening, xanthan gum, pear puree, apple puree, uniodized salt.
